Snorkeling beaches in the Indian Ocean

Indian Ocean snorkeling is probably the catalogue's best zone after the Red Sea. The inner Seychelles (Curieuse, Anse Lazio, Anse Major) have granitic relief unlike anywhere. Mauritius is more standard but walk-in accessible. Western Madagascar (Nosy Be, Mitsio archipelago) stays under-trafficked. In the Maldives, the best spots are atoll-resident only — bleaching is progressing, we note what's still holding up.
