Hedonism II Beach
White sand, bare skin, Bloody Bay bliss

About
Hedonism II Beach stretches roughly 800 metres along the calm waters of Bloody Bay, just outside Negril, Jamaica. The sand is white and soft underfoot, and the water runs a clear turquoise that makes every wade-in feel deliberate. The beach is split into two distinct zones: a clothed 'prude side' and a designated naturist section where full nudity is the norm — not the exception. It's adults-only, all-inclusive in spirit, and the vibe leans lively without tipping into chaos. Day-pass guests get full access to watersports, bars, and both zones, making it one of the more complete resort-beach experiences on the island.
How to get there
Drive north from Negril town — it's about 15 minutes by car to the resort entrance on Bloody Bay. Day passes run USD 80–370 per person and cover beach access from roughly 10:00 to 18:00; advance booking is required, so don't show up hoping to walk in. Free parking is available on-site for day-pass guests. The beach itself is easy to reach once you're through the resort gate.
Who it's for
For couples
The split-zone layout means couples can choose their own comfort level — share a lounger on the clothed side or go fully naturist together without judgment. The calm Bloody Bay water and lively bar scene make it a genuinely relaxed adult escape.
For families
This beach is adults-only (18+) with a naturist zone — it is not suitable for families with children under any circumstances. Plan a family day at the free Bloody Bay public strip 0.3 km away instead.
Our take
Feet in the sand, eyes on the screen
Hedonism II Beach is safe for swimming — Bloody Bay's calm, turquoise water is one of its genuine selling points, and the watersports programme gives you plenty to do beyond lying flat. The dual-zone setup is handled with more structure than you might expect: the naturist section has real rules, and they're enforced. The day-pass price range is wide and has climbed post-2023, so treat advance booking as non-negotiable rather than a suggestion. Skip July through September — hurricane season and possible sargassum make the experience unpredictable. Come between November and April for the dry season, calm water, and the best version of what this beach promises. It's a niche product done with conviction — if the concept fits you, it delivers.
What to do
Just 1 km offshore, Booby Cay is an uninhabited island with a fringing reef you can reach by a short 10-minute boat ride — a worthwhile side trip if you want reef snorkelling away from the resort. Back on the mainland, Rick's Cafe 1974 is about 9.7 km south and remains the classic Negril cliff-jumping and sunset spot. The Negril Fossil Reefs and Caves, 8.6 km away, add a geological detour for anyone curious about what lies beneath the limestone.
The white sand shoreline at the clothed zone's water's edge — turquoise water, no clutter — is the cleanest wide shot, best captured before 10:00.
Booby Cay visible on the horizon makes a strong background for a mid-distance frame from the beach. Stay strictly on the clothed side with your camera; the naturist zone is a hard no.
Where to eat
Cosmo's Seafood Restaurant & Bar, 2.5 km from the beach, is the closest sit-down option for fresh catch after your day pass expires. Sunbeach Bar and Restaurant (4.2 km) and Rainbow Arch Restaurant and Bar (4.4 km) both offer casual meals a short drive away. Chances Bar & Grill, 4.1 km out, covers pizza if you want something straightforward.
Where to stay
The Point sits just 0.2 km from the beach — as close as it gets without sleeping inside the resort itself. Sandals and Couples Negril are both within 0.6 km, giving you polished all-inclusive alternatives if Hedonism II's day-pass price point doesn't suit a longer stay. SeaWind and Country Country, at 3.5 km and 3.8 km respectively, offer more budget-flexible options a short drive up the coast.
Photography
The stretch where white sand meets turquoise water at the clothed zone's shoreline is your best frame, especially in the soft light of early morning before 10:00 when day-pass guests arrive. Remember: photography is absolutely off-limits in the naturist section — keep your lens pointed seaward or toward Booby Cay in the distance.
Good to know
Book your day pass well ahead — prices have risen sharply since 2023 and availability fills up fast. You must be 18 or older to enter; no exceptions. If you enter the naturist zone, full nudity is mandatory — partial dress is not permitted. Photography is strictly prohibited in the nude zone and that rule is actively enforced, so leave the camera at your towel or risk having your device confiscated.
